#26: One Day: Christian Hymn written by Wilbur Chapman.1910

It’s Easter Friday or what Christians call Good Friday. Unlike Christmas, we have a more accurate understanding of the time for the crucifixion of Christ because it is linked to the time of the Jewish Passover, which in turn is linked to the lunar cycle and held always on a full moon.

So for this day I want to share a song written by Wilbur Chapman, a Presbyterian minister, in 1910. It is the Good News in 5 verses of song with a chorus which states this Good News even more clearly: Living, He loved me; Dying, He saved me; Buried, He carried my sins far away, Rising, He justified freely forever; One Day He is coming, Oh Glorious Day!

This is the good news we all need and it just might be what someone needs to hear today.

BTW: Google tells me the next full moon is on April 16th but the moon appears full the night before and after its peak. The April full moon is also known as a the Full Pink Moon.

One Day – YouTube I hope you will enjoy this happy acapella version and I will let this song speak its own message.
