My Heart on Paper.

Inspiration: The Poem Just for Today is a reminder that life is lived one day at a time. We can do things for just one day that would seem impossible and overwhelming if we looked into the future instead of focusing on the day which is ours to live, now. It is one of the best and biggest lessons to learn about life; to live just one day at a time.

Theme: Personal growth, Living authentically, Self acceptance.

Just for Today.

Just for today I will smile,
Just for today I will be happy.
Abraham Lincoln famously said-
Most people are as happy as they make up their minds to be-
You can do it! Just for today.

Just for today I will be kind-
to myself and to others.
Just for today I will accept my circumstances-
and live with-in them, graciously
knowing that they are the tools to my personal growth.

Just for today I will give myself time-
time to think, time to pray,
plan, meditate, daydream, write, laugh and cry.
Just for today I will take time to process my life-
to absorb all that happens
to me, in me and around me.

I will process it all into who I am-
and keep going.
Just for today I will increase my knowledge-
I will learn more-
and understand more of the mystery that is life.

Just for today I will live-
I will not be weighed down with worry for tomorrow-
nor will I be stuck in bitterness from yesterdays.
Just for today I will see beauty all around me.

Just for today I will understand that
half the things I want to get done today-
Just won't happen.
And that is OK.

I will live this day in grace-
because it is all that I have been given.
