Inspiration: The poem Broken is simply about broken relationships. I don’t know of anything sadder than when relationships between folks who really should have each other’s backs are broken and there is no way left to find a way back; it is simply too broken. I am a go the extra mile, turn the other cheek sort of girl but sometimes the universe truly does speak and it will not be quiet until we listen.
Theme: Relationships.
Broken.
You have pushed everything too far,
And now it is broken,
Your need to fight and always be right,
To always have your own way,
Regardless of who has to pay
Has Backfired!
The Universe has spoken
And it knows you have lied.
No longer will we play your game
Where you dump on us your shame
And blame...blame...blame...
You are responsible for your thoughts, words and actions,
No longer will we be split into factions.
Stop! Take Stock!
It’s time to face the music and the music is not sweet.
You have pushed everything too far,
And now it is broken.
The Universe has spoken!
